Alumnus Mohit Tewari got 160th rank in the Civil Services Examination

 

DAV College Jalandhar alumnus Mohit Tewari got 160th rank in the Civil Services Examination 2008-09. He studied in the college during 1998-2000. He got his early education from DayanandModelSchool, ModelTown, Jalandhar. He got his B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) from Saheed Udham Singh Engineering College, Chandigarh. He opted Geography in the preliminary examination and Public Administration alongwith Geography in the main examination.
He credits his success to the Faculty of DAV College Jalandhar, especially the Library of this College. He said that the library is rich enough in books and magazines. He is proud to be an alumnus of this college. He said that planning and consistency is required alongwith blessings of Parents and teachers to qualify such exams. To serve the country as an employee of Centre Government is an honour.
The parents of Mohit Tewari are well known educationists- his father Dr. V K Tewari, Principal of this college, is a well known International Level scholar of English Literature. His mother, Sarita Tewari is known educationist and Cultural celebrity. The Chairman of Local Committee Seth Kundal Lal Aggarwal, Member Local Committee, Ajay Goswami, Vice-Principal S K Tandon, Vice-Principal R K Parashar, Registrar M S Shourie, Deputy Registrar Vipan Jhangi and other staff members were specially present to honour him on this great achievement.
