The Department of Economics has been offering programmes of study leading to three year degree program in B.A. (Hons.) Economics and a two year program in M.A. Economics. B.A. Economics is one of the most sought after subject of the students at DAV Collge. It has a balanced course content adequately covering Principles of Economics (both at micro and macro level) and quantitative techniques. It also gives a complete view of development of Indian Economy along with its current problems. Fair coverage of Money and Financial Markets and Public Economics is also done.
