Principal's Message While assuming the captaincy of this flagship college of DAV CMC, New Delhi, I am overwhelmed by holy feelings of reverence, awe and gratitude. More so, as this great academic monolith has been my own almamater. Like you, I too have roamed its vast campus and drunk deep at this fountain-head of knowledge. My youthful days were once anchored here. Now, as a principal, heading this college offers a really big challange as one has to match one's performance with the predecessors who are many ways the role-models. Let us pick the challange together. Let us together carve a new niche. Friends, we are passing though great changes as the entire academic paradigm is shifting. Moving in gear with time, we have to grow at the speed of thought to register even the eye-blink changes . With the world talking of sky-colleges, of digital pathshalas, of Net Universities, of knowledge economy and of mobile learning, there is a need to jack up competency levels to international standards. Let us carry out the transformation and change without disturbing the continuum in tradition. Further moving in synch with time, we must empower and strengthen our traditional courses with IT and its mega reach. The college offers you an exceptional breadth of academic choises which are up-to-date, and are directly relevant to the needs of industry, commerce and public sector. Traditional method of delivering information are increasingly being superseded by digital technology. I wish all of you think big and the latest. I ensure you that the college you are joining will offer you industry-relevant and market-sensitive program in Print, Electronic and Web Media, in Biotechnology, in Bio-informatics, in Event Management, in Risk Management etc. We are taking every step to strenghten our suprimacy in infrastructure, in academic programs, in placements and consultancy, even in culture and sports. Friends, we remember that the students are the biggest stake-holders in the entire scenario. I have great affection for modern go-getter and dotcom generation you belong to. Dr. V. K. Tewari, having B.Sc., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees to his credit has earned a total 37 years of teaching experiance. Dr Tiwari was awarded Teacher fellowship by the University Grant Commission from 15.10.1987 to 14.10.1990. Till date, Dr. Tewari has a huge list of awards and honours to his credit vis. - Academic and research strength recognized by eminent literary the oritician Terry Eagleton, Univ. of Manchester, UK.
- Elected Municipal commissioner of town Alawalpur, Distt. Jalandhar for one term 1979-84
- Was awarded Certificate of appreciation of his work in the field of “Communal Harmony and Teachers’ Movement” on Sept. 5, the Teachers’ Day in 1987.
- Has Delegated World Assembly for Peace at Prague, June 1983.
- Served as Executive Organizer, International Conference on “ Education for Peace” at Chandigarh, Dec.1983.
